Outstation

One-way drops

A drop is charged from where the car picks you up to where it drops you, and the empty run it makes afterwards is our cost rather than yours. One direction on the odometer, at the published rate for the class, whatever the car has to do to get home.

From
₹11.00a kilometre in a hatchback, before toll and GST. Every class and every charge is on the rate card.
The inside of an empty seven seater from the rear bench, two rows of unoccupied seats and, through the windscreen, the driver folding the gate back to leave.

Kilometres that are run and not billed

A drop puts more distance on the car than the distance you sit in it for, and only one part of that reaches your bill.

The run back

Once you are out at your gate the car still has to get home, and that leg is ours. The usual way to cover it in this trade is to price a drop near the round distance, and this card does not do that.

The run to your gate

Whatever it takes to reach your pick-up address is ours as well. The counting starts at your door, not at wherever the car happened to spend the night.

The hour you travel at

A pick-up at four in the morning is quoted off the same line of the rate card as one at four in the afternoon. No line on the quotation is worked out from the clock.

What a drop costs, by class

The rate is per kilometre run and it does not change with the direction the car is pointing. Pick a class and the enquiry form opens with it already chosen.

What the fare covers

In the quoted fare

Fuel and running cost
Whatever the trip burns.
The chauffeur
His driving charges for the duty.
Maintenance, insurance and air conditioning
The vehicle is insured and serviced, and the AC runs.
The empty run back
The car has to get home whether you are in it or not. Those kilometres are ours to carry and they are not on your bill.
The driver's day
A drop finished inside the day carries one day of driver allowance, it sits inside the quoted figure as its own line, and nothing further is added for his time at the far end.
A drop at the address, not at the edge of town
The count finishes where you asked to be dropped, whether that is a gate inside a colony, a hospital porch or a hotel forecourt.

Charged on top

Toll
At actuals, and the FASTag statement is shared with the bill.
Parking
At actuals, with the receipt.
State entry tax
Where the trip crosses a state border. At actuals, and named on the quotation before you confirm.
Hill entry and green tax
Levied by the local authority on the way in. At actuals, and named on the quotation before you confirm.
Waiting beyond the free period
Charged by the hour once the free waiting is used up.
GST5%
Shown as its own line on the quotation and on the invoice.

Kilometres are counted from your pick-up address to your drop address, on the odometer, and that is the entire count. Not doubled for the way back and not started from our yard. Where that distance comes to less than the 250 kilometre minimum the fare is worked from the minimum instead, and the quotation names which of the two it used before you confirm.

The figure on your quotation is the figure you pay. Everything payable at actuals is a named line on it, with a number against it, before you confirm. Nothing is added afterwards.

The questions a one-way fare raises

The line is answered at any hour, by a person.

Why do other operators charge me for the return trip?

Because the car does have to come back, and the usual way to cover that is to price the drop at something near the round distance. We cover it out of the fare instead. You are charged the kilometres between your two addresses at the published rate for the class, and the run home is our cost to manage.

Is there a minimum on a short drop?

Yes, and it is the same on every class: a trip priced per kilometre is charged for at least 250 kilometres. Under that the distance line reads 250 whatever the odometer says; over it you pay what the odometer ran. Most drops this page is used for clear it comfortably, and the quotation names which of the two applied before you agree to anything.

Can you drop me in another state?

Yes. The fleet runs on an all India permit, so the car is not turned back at a border. The entry tax the receiving state levies is charged at actuals and it is named on the quotation with a figure against it before you confirm, not discovered at the checkpost.

I need a drop now and a pick-up three days later. Is that cheaper as one booking?

Usually it is two drops, each charged for its own kilometres, and that works out lower than holding the car for three days because you are not paying the driver allowance for the days in between. If the car has to stay with you, that is a different shape of trip and a different figure. Tell us both dates in the enquiry and we will quote the two side by side.

What is on the bill besides the fare?

Toll, parking and any state entry tax on the route, all at actuals with the receipts and the FASTag statement. GST as its own line. Every one of those appears on the quotation with a number against it before you agree to anything, and nothing is added afterwards for the hour the trip runs at.

When do I find out who is driving?

The evening before, by 9 pm, with his name and his number. That is the whole of the pre-trip promise and it is the one thing a call centre with a driver pool cannot do, because it assigns somebody a few minutes before the pick-up.

Waiting at the pick-up address beyond the free period, toll, parking and any state entry tax are payable at actuals and are named on the quotation, with a figure against each, before you confirm. Every published rate for every class is on the full rate card. Effective .

Sending an enquiry is not a booking and does not hold a vehicle. We price the trip, send you a fixed all-inclusive figure in writing, and nothing is reserved until you confirm that figure.

Two addresses is enough to price it.

A fixed, all-in figure and the vehicle class, usually the same day, 9 am to 9 pm.

Written quotes 9 am to 9 pm, seven days. The line itself is answered at any hour.
