Transfers

Airport transfers

A car to the terminal, or a driver standing at arrivals when you land. Either way the vehicle and the driver are settled the evening before, with his number, so nobody is ringing a call centre at four in the morning.

From
₹11.00a kilometre in a hatchback, before toll and GST. Every class and every charge is on the rate card.
A pale saloon at a terminal kerb in the first light, boot open, a laden trolley beside it and nobody in the frame.

What is different about an airport run

A transfer is not a short outstation trip with a different destination. Three things about it are their own problem, and each of them is where a booking goes wrong.

The car is settled the night before

Vehicle, driver, his name and his number, on WhatsApp the evening before. An app assigns a driver eleven minutes before the pick-up, which is fine at four in the afternoon and no use at all at four in the morning.

The driver is told the terminal

Not the airport, the terminal. Give us the flight number with the enquiry and it is worked out once, in the office, rather than at your gate with a boot already loaded.

The fare does not move on the day

No surge, no peak multiplier, no early-morning loading. The figure on the quotation is the figure on the invoice, and the toll is passed through at what the plaza charged.

From enquiry to the kerb

  1. Send the trip

Pick-up address, date, time, and the flight number if you have it. Thirty seconds, and the form opens already knowing this is an airport transfer.

  2. A fixed figure comes back

In writing on WhatsApp, itemised: the distance, the driver allowance and GST. Usually the same day in working hours, and nothing on it is worked out from the hour you travel at.

  3. You confirm it

Nothing is held until you do. Once you confirm, the vehicle is committed against your name and the trip goes on the board.

  4. The evening before

The vehicle, the driver's name and his number reach you, so the person turning up at your gate is somebody you have already spoken to.

What we send to the airport

Which one depends on how many are travelling and what they are carrying. Both are confirmed in writing before you travel.

Effective . Driver allowance is charged per calendar day and is on the rate card with everything else.

The two facts worth checking us on

Both are on the rate card or in your WhatsApp history, so neither has to be taken on trust.

What the fare covers

In the quoted fare

Fuel and running cost
Whatever the trip burns.
The chauffeur
His driving charges for the duty.
Maintenance, insurance and air conditioning
The vehicle is insured and serviced, and the AC runs.
The run to the terminal
Counted from your gate to the kerb at departures, on the odometer, and charged at the class rate on the card.
The driver knowing which terminal
A large airport has several and they are far enough apart to matter. Tell us the flight number and it is worked out in the office rather than asked at your door.

Charged on top

Toll
At actuals, and the FASTag statement is shared with the bill.
Parking
At actuals, with the receipt.
Waiting beyond the free period
Charged by the hour once the free waiting is used up.
GST5%
Shown as its own line on the quotation and on the invoice.

Kilometres are counted from your pick-up address to the terminal kerb. Not from our yard, and not back from the airport afterwards. A drop is a drop. Where that distance comes to less than the 250 kilometre minimum the fare is worked from the minimum instead, and the quotation names which of the two it used before you confirm.

The figure on your quotation is the figure you pay. Everything payable at actuals is a named line on it, with a number against it, before you confirm. Nothing is added afterwards.

What people ask before they book

Not answered here?

+91 99966 69190

The line is answered at any hour, by a person.

My flight lands at 2 am. Is there a car?

Yes, and it is the same car at the same rate. The per kilometre figure for your class does not move for the hour, so a three in the morning departure is quoted off the same line of the card as a three in the afternoon one. The driver is told the night before which arrival he is on.

What happens if the flight is late?

Ring the driver. His number reaches you the evening before precisely so that there is somebody to ring who already knows your name and your terminal, rather than a booking line that has to look you up. Waiting beyond the free period is charged by the hour and it appears on the bill as its own line.

Which terminal do you drop at?

Whichever one your flight leaves from. Terminals at a large airport are far enough apart that arriving at the wrong one costs the better part of an hour, and which one an airline uses can change. Give us the flight number with the enquiry and the driver is briefed off that rather than off a terminal typed into the booking.

Do you charge for the return leg on a drop?

No return leg is charged: the fare is worked out from the kilometres between your address and the terminal, and the car’s run home afterwards is ours. Where that distance comes to less than the 250 kilometre minimum the fare is worked from the minimum instead, and the quotation names which of the two it used before you confirm.

Can the driver meet me inside with a placard?

Yes, on request, and it is worth asking for if you are meeting somebody you have not met. It is arranged as part of the enquiry rather than added on the day, because the driver needs an airport entry pass and a name to write.

Is the toll included?

No. Toll and any similar charge on the route are extra, passed through at what they actually cost, and each one is a named line on the quotation before you confirm.

Toll, parking, state entry tax and any waiting beyond the free period are payable at actuals and appear as named lines on the quotation before you confirm. Which terminal a flight uses is set by the airline and can change, so the driver is briefed off the flight number you give us rather than off a terminal typed into the booking.

Sending an enquiry is not a booking and does not hold a vehicle. We price the trip, send you a fixed all-inclusive figure in writing, and nothing is reserved until you confirm that figure.

Tell us the flight. We will send the fare.

A fixed, all-in figure and the vehicle class, usually the same day, 9 am to 9 pm.

Written quotes 9 am to 9 pm, seven days. The line itself is answered at any hour.
